Comprehensive Veterinary Wellness Visits in Buford, GA

If only our pets could talk, right? It’d make things so much easier—no more wondering why your dog has stopped doing zoomies around the yard or why your cat is suddenly avoiding everyone’s lap. Since they can’t tell us what hurts or how they’re feeling, it’s up to us to figure it out. That’s where our wellness and diagnostic care comes in. A thorough physical exam helps us piece together clues about what’s going on, but sometimes, that’s just the starting point.

When we need a deeper look, our veterinarians rely on state-of-the-art tools, like digital X-rays, advanced lab testing, and even virtual consultations with board-certified specialists. These tools allow us to pinpoint the issue and come up with a treatment plan tailored to your furry friend’s needs. Because even though they can’t tell us what’s wrong, we know how much they count on us to get them back to tail wags, purrs, and, of course, those all-important zoomies.

Lab Results at Lightning Speed—Because Waiting is the Hardest Part

When your pet isn’t feeling their best, every minute matters. That’s why our in-house laboratory is equipped to deliver fast, accurate results when you need them most. From routine tests—like urinalysis, ear cytology, and skin scrapings—to specific disease screenings for heartworm, feline leukemia, parvovirus, Lyme disease, and more, we can quickly get to the root of the problem.

But what we’re most proud of are our advanced blood machines, which provide results for blood counts, glucose levels, thyroid function, and more in as little as 12 minutes. There’s no longer a need to wait days for answers—just peace of mind and the ability to start treatment right away.

FAQs About Our Routine Pet Check-Ups

The number of wellness visits your pet needs will depend on its age, lifestyle, and overall health. In most cases, we recommend scheduling a wellness visit at least once a year for adult pets to make sure they’re staying healthy and up to date on preventative care. In some instances, more frequent appointments may be necessary for vaccinations.

For puppies and kittens, wellness visits are more frequent—typically every 3 to 4 weeks—until they’re about 16 weeks old. These early visits will cover vaccinations, deworming, and tracking growth and development during their most vulnerable stages.

Wellness visits usually take 30-45 minutes, depending on what’s needed during the appointment. We know your time is valuable, so we work hard to keep things efficient without ever sacrificing the quality of care your pet receives. If you have any questions or concerns during the visit, we’re here to take the time to listen and provide guidance—you’ll never feel rushed.

The answer to this question depends on whether or not you’ve visited our veterinary clinic before.

  • For new clients: Bring any previous medical records and a list of questions or concerns.
  • For existing clients: We may ask for a stool sample, so be sure to bring that with you to your appointment.

If you have any additional questions surrounding your upcoming appointment, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
